Does not make pretty reading. Mea culpa on board 1. Just about emerged OK from one opening cock-up against the modern defence, then make a howler. Somewhat overrun on the King Side on Board 2, but decent draws on the remaining boards. No promotion, and surely no relegation. And no banana.
We need to expand our playing squad (is my needle stuck?). Any interested new players please get in touch. I may even sort out this website one day….

It has finally arrived. Borehamwood chess club has a new website. Meets on some Tuesdays at Allum Lane Community centre, Elstree, Herts from 7.30.
Club started circa World Chess Championship 1972 Fischer v Spassky. 40 years!
We play in Herts Division 4. Just 1 team – but need more players to enhance squad – and expand.
Season 2011/2012 started OK. First 4 matches saw 3 wins, and a 4-1 defeat to Barnet 2, strongest team in Division. Next match, Away to Watford 4…..disaster…..
